About Us

Our mission is to provide caring, cutting edge, comprehensive therapy of the highest quality.  We want to help you achieve the goals you have for your child and help your family thrive.

Vision

The vision of ‘Ohana Occupational Therapy is to provide current, caring, and comprehensive high quality therapy, classes, and products helping our clients achieve their goals.

Mission

Our mission is to provide caring, cutting edge, comprehensive therapy of the highest quality.  We want to help you achieve the goals you have for your child and help your family thrive.

Philosophy of Treatment

Here at ‘Ohana Occupational Therapy we work closely with families to achieve your therapy goals.  Parents are present during the sessions and parent training is an integral part of the therapy session.  We are a team.  Our therapists are highly skilled in many therapy techniques.  We specialize in Sensory Integration Therapy and during a therapy session many different “Frames of Reference” will be utilized to maximize success.

For example, during one therapy session we may use the Sensory Integration approach utilizing specialized equipment to improve balance reactions, therapeutic exercise with theraputty to strengthen small muscles in the hands, a cognitive approach to teach stress reduction breathing techniques and a behavioral approach of positive reinforcement.  As therapists we flow easily between the different techniques utilizing all the necessary “tools in our toolbox” to get the best results.

We strive for the “just right challenge” where your child feels like they are just playing and having fun while at the same time being successful in new skills that have have been subtly structured into the therapy session. Working together, soon, your family will move from a mode of surviving to thriving.
